🚨 Montana 2025 Legislative Cannabis Bills – What You Need to Know! 🚨
The 2025 Montana Legislature is making moves on several cannabis-related bills—some could benefit consumers and businesses, while others pose serious threats to access and industry growth. From changes in election laws affecting local cannabis initiatives to stricter advertising regulations, licensing updates, and even a proposed $200 Marijuana ID for recreational users, there’s a lot at stake.
But let’s talk about the big one that needs your attention NOW ⬇️
❌ Senate Bill 443 – A Threat to Your Cannabis Freedom!
🔴 SB 443 would impose a strict 15% THC potency cap on all cannabis products statewide. This is BAD for both consumers and businesses. Arbitrary limits like this:
🚫 Restrict patients from accessing effective therapeutic doses.
🚫 Hurt local dispensaries and producers by limiting the products they can offer.
🚫 Ignore consumer choice and demand.

✅ GOOD NEWS: HB 748 – A Win for Medical Patients!
Sponsored by Mary Caferro, HB 748 would allow medical cannabis patients to purchase their entire allotment at once! This is a huge victory for rural patients, reducing the burden of multiple trips to dispensaries and ensuring they have access to the medicine they need, when they need it.
